CampCritter Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the CampCritter apps and website (collectively, the “Service”), provided by Moonberry Tech (“CampCritter,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

Using CampCritter

CampCritter helps you find campgrounds, plan shared camping trips, build packing checklists, and keep photo-rich trip logs. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when creating an account and for keeping your account credentials secure.

Your content

You retain ownership of the trips, checklists, trip log entries, campground reviews, photos, and other content you submit (“User Content”). By submitting User Content, you grant CampCritter a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate the Service — for example, showing your trip to the participants you invite, or showing your campground review to other users.

You agree not to submit User Content that:

• Is false or misleading, including inaccurate campground information submitted in bad faith.
• Infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy rights.
• Is unlawful, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit.
• Contains malware or is intended to disrupt the Service.

We may review, moderate, or remove User Content, and may suspend or terminate accounts, that violate these Terms.

Campground information

Campground details on CampCritter are sourced from public data, imported datasets, and user submissions, and may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. Always verify campground availability, rules, and conditions with the campground or land manager directly before you travel. CampCritter is not responsible for decisions made in reliance on campground information shown in the Service.

Trail Pass subscription

Trail Pass is an optional, auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited saved trips and other premium features. Subscriptions are billed and managed through Google Play or the Apple App Store, depending on where you purchased. Your subscription automatically renews for the same term unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can view, manage, or cancel your subscription at any time in your Google Play or Apple ID account settings — not in the CampCritter app. Refunds are handled according to Google Play's or Apple's refund policies, as applicable. We may change Trail Pass pricing or features going forward; we will not change the price of an active billing period already paid for.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, including through excessive automated requests.
• Scrape or harvest data from the Service except through features we provide for that purpose.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the Service or other users. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; see our account deletion page for details on what happens to your data.

Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that campground or trip data will be accurate or complete. Camping and outdoor travel carry inherent risks; you are responsible for your own safety and preparedness on any trip you plan using the Service.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CampCritter and Moonberry Tech will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service changes. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
